SOC

SOC, a Day & Zimmermann Company, is a highly respected mission support provider known for delivering responsive, agile solutions in support of the national security mission in high-threat environments, through security, operations and maintenance, architecture and engineering, and staffing services to the U.S. Government and commercial clients.

With a longstanding commitment to the imperatives of Women, Peace, and Security, SOC has led the way in advancing, supporting, and advocating for the inclusion and engagement of women across the globe. SOC recognizes the critical role women play as agents of change worldwide, and proactively addresses the needs of women, empowering them to contribute their talents and energies to international peace, security, and prosperity.

‘When SOC’s women, here and across the globe, are given the opportunity and tools to lead, shape, and inspire, they do exactly that. The crux of why WPS matters: When women are empowered to lead, they make the world better, safer, and more secure.’

SOC’s efforts include:

Protection of Women & Children Fleeing Taliban Rule.

SOC provides protective services, specialized security services, and logistical support services for thousands of Afghan guests, including women and children, at Camp As Sayliyah in Doha, Qatar. Entrusted to protect the security of these transitioning families under the DOS Diplomatic Security Task Order, SOC’s diverse staff of female armed guards, unarmed guards, Administrative, Logistics and Operations Specialists, are guided by SOC’s core values: Safety, Diversity, Integrity, and Success; paired with a deep understanding of the brutal treatment Afghan women and children are fleeing.

Israel-Hamas Conflict: Supporting and protecting Women & Children.

As the leading security provider chosen by the DOS to safeguard American property and personnel in Israel and Palestinian Territories, SOC has been a critical partner to women in this volatile region, providing security and protection, and empowering them to advance in roles of conflict prevention, resolution, and stabilization. SOC’s female leadership is also critical to operations supporting multiple agencies on countless missions throughout the West Bank in support of women’s protection, rights, freedoms, empowerment, and contributions.

Empowering Diplomatic Security in Baghdad, Iraq.
